I am thankful for God's goodness and sovereign control over the paths we have. I am thankful for the way he has been leading and directing, especially with Isaac's new school and teacher. I am thankful for only 60 kids in 6th grade and the protection that will bring to Isaac. I am thankful that his teacher, Ms. Penny Patrick, said Chris can come and hang out anytime in the classroom. I am looking forward to this year!

I am thankful for a fun day with Johnny and Kayla over. I hope that the lessons Isaac is learning about actions having consequences, for the good or the bad, really impact those around us. I especially thank you for the special kinship they have that will, Lord willing, last a lifetime. I am thankful for a little time in the car with Johnny where he talked about how cool it will be to say, when he is 40, "Isaac and I have been best friends for 38 years."
You are so good, God!

Thankful for a day together taking pictures with Daddy, a chance to visit Springville, Isaac's first set of allergy shots (praying he would be rid of his allergies to outdoor allergies within the next few months/years), and a really cool obstacle course that the kids made, complete with awards.
I am also thankful that Chris says this is his favorite hair cut I have has in the 20 years he has known me. Nice!

Isaac is thankful for lessons leaned: not to be rash, to be good even when he is angry, to ask for alone time when he needs it, to not run away, that he is loved by us no matter what he does or says, that his sin effects others in a major way.
I am thankful he made it home and that we have the opportunity to instruct him.
Thank you for a new sliding glass door that will help keep us warmer this winter.
Thank You for puzzle time with Chris to defrag. after some intense parenting.
I am thankful for Abigail who loves her brother so much that she is fearful when he is gone, and wants a new gay to come when he has a challenging day.

Thanks:
*Daddy was given the morning off for the eclipse
*Isaac hit 1000 views on his Stikbot video
*Abigail got praised by Mrs. Dunham (for the first time in a while)
*We are reminded of God's control and order when we see massive things in nature like today
*We are reminded of the greatest eclipse day in history:
"It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, 'Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.' When he had said this, he breathed his last."

Thank you Jesus for Isaac getting plugged in to a great taekwondo class that grows him in discipline, perseverance, self control and character. Thank You for the BBQ at the park today and the privilege of being there to see the new black belts get their swords.
Thank you, especially, for protecting Abigail when she fell from the bars at church. Thank you for the reminder of your love and care as you placed Dr. McNally right there to check for any breaks and tell me what to look out for in terms of her lungs. I know you always care.
