Thanks 72/365

Just when I want to complain that Abigail has to go back to the doctor again for the angioma in her hand, Chris reminded me that I need to be grateful for good medical, good local doctors and the money for the co-pay. He's so right! The more spoiled we are, the easier it is to take those things for granted. They are a gift.

My amazing Abigail was a trooper, yet again. She was scared because she was going to face the needle and the procedure to cut out and cauterize part of her palm again, but she was less apprehensive because she knew what to expect.

Scott Maury at Dermatology Associates was able to see Abigail today. We had never met him before, but he was fantastic with Abigail and with me. He explained things well and was very encouraging. He went above and beyond with Abigail by pulling out his personal phone to let Abigail watch one of the movies he had loaded on their for his own daughter. Whenever he could see the look of fear on her face or the tears welling in her eyes, he would check in with her, ask her questions, and even ask if she wanted to watch anything he was doing.

I am thankful for my brave girl who took it like a champ. She endured the pain and fought through her fears. I see her maturing so much in that area. Scott even told her, multiple times, "You are doing great...better than most of my adult patients." She loved hearing that and it motivated her little heart to be even more courageous.
