Days of YOU
Days gone by…
Little bodies, wearing first backpacks, way too big
Little feet, learning to tie shoes, still unsure
Little hands, trying to hold scissors, crayons, new pencils
Little mouths, teeth wiggly and trying to fall out
Little hearts, making friends and trying manners
Little minds, counting, ABCs, singing, new ideas
Days lived now…
Growing bodies, taller, stronger, changing
Growing feet, running marathons, dancing, playing sports
Growing hands, building, creating, helping others along
Growing mouths, braces that shine, nervous smiles, laughter
Growing hearts, crushes, heartaches, impacting others
Growing minds, changing the world, digging deeper, never quitting
Days ahead…
What will the future hold?
For your bodies?
For your feet?
For your hands?
For your mouths?
For your hearts?
For your minds?
You alone can answer as time goes by
In the days ahead…
Pursue good things to enrich your bodies and your minds
Invest in the best things to care of yourself and care for others
Don’t let the world tell you that you can’t
Remember your great worth
Remember your potential
From your head to your toes, in your minds and in your hearts…
Keep growing, keep learning, keep challenging yourself to excel still more
Keep smiling, keep dancing, keep loving
Keep moving forward no matter how many times you get set back
Keep being the amazing person you were meant to be
Remember that little kid who made it this far
Days gone by
Days lived now
That same amazing kid who has come this far…it’s YOU
YOU
YOU, who can thrive and be anything you want to be
In the days ahead
Wishing you the best in life, in middle school and beyond. It’s been a privilege to be a part of your life thus far. We are excited to see what the future has in store for you.
Love,
Mrs. Korenthal
(and “Cool Dad” Korenthal too)
Our dinner as a family was super awesome at Nona Amilia's. We surprised Isaac with a book signed by all of his elementary school teachers. He said it was his best gift ever. He got choked up and read every word aloud.
